Angelenos Everett Jones, Evie in more familiar circumstances, and Jake Webber, a movie associate producer and artist respectively, are on the same Phoenix to Los Angeles flight. Sitting across the aisle from each other, they make a human connection on the short hour long flight, but don't have time to exchange names or contact information as Evie has to rush off to make a connecting flight to Vancouver where the production company's latest movie is filming. What they do accidentally exchange, however, are their carry-ons, they each having the same vintage canvas duffel bag. Each bag contains important cargo, Evie's a key prop for the movie, and Jake a vintage engagement ring he was picking up for his best friend, Raymond, who has long planned to propose to his girlfriend, Olivia, the three of them who are in the process of opening their own art shop and studio. In the confusion about the bags, neither Evie or Jake realizes that the bag in their possession belongs to the other, their primary concern being to retrieve their important cargo, and return the bag in their possession to its rightful owner. But when they realize that the bag they are in possession of belongs to the person with who he/she made a connection on the flight, the equally important item becomes seeing the other again. But one misunderstanding after another may prevent them from making that reconnection with who, in their minds, could be the one.—Huggo
